What are the advantages of Deviaton beside allowing me to fly other protocols? Does it offer more or easier configuration of my V120d02s v2?

If I setup Deviation do I have to redo my V120d02s configurations?
Trying to decide if I should do it.

V120d02s V2 flying well for me now. I am using Orange T6 for my other aircraft.

First of all you don't mention your tx. A Devo 7 won't work. Yes. You have to redo your setup. I would stick to the standard mode and not the advanced mode. Other than that it is really easy to use. One of the advantages over the Devo firmware is nine point curves and more switch configuration options. I also love that the flight timer works off of the throttle and automatically pauses if I land mid pack and turn off the motor and resumes as soon as I spool up again.

Other than that it allows you to use your devo tx for all of your Spektrum stuff instead of your orange. You can use one tx for everything and have more features etc. not likely a plus if you have a 7e but I have replaced four transmitters with my devo 10 and as soon as my add on module arrives I will replace one more and be able to fly heli-max stuff with it. I love it.

I disagree with not using the Advanced GUI. Once you read the manual and learn how the Advanced GUI works it is an extremely powerful tool. You can mix and setup channels with unlimited possibilities!

Deviation is awesome and I currently use my Devo 7e with range mod and switch mod to fly everything. I have a Devo 10 on the way as well and Deviation is the main reason why I passed on getting a DX8 or 9.

Very powerful tool and very versatile! Plus PB at Deviationtx.com is awesome and will answer any questions you have.
