Good point, and is a pinion included in the kit or what mod is the pinion and what do you recommend? Revco? What?

well if its the 4035-500 that would put it around 2400 going off the readyheli headspeed tach, probably isnt that high a kv cause that thing would be screaming, fun but flightimes wouldnt be great

What did you use for a tooth count on the main gear? Dunno if the 115 tooth count in the spec sheet on RH's site is still valid. If it is, then I'd say govern it down some. Mr. Mel's Calculator says 112 if you select Rush750. Interesting.

yeah i went with 115 from the specs, but i see what your talking about with the 112 when you select gears.

well i was farting around with the headspeed app to see what pinion would be best to run it governed at 2150 and it looks like it would be a 13t pinion if your motor kv is around 500. this is going by the 112 tooth count, 12 might work also but it looks like you will hit the warning in the castle log. just bored so i started punching in numbers

I've been casually watching the progress and hype concerning this heli. I hate link building, and as such dislike the bellcrank setup, but I think I can put up with it on this baby.

I went ahead and dropped my name on the waiting list. :

Two questions though. Can anyone give me a reason why this may not be a good first 700? Are there any clues as to whether the first batch will fulfill all waiting list requests, or will this be a Goblin situation, where it will take 2-3 batches to fill all orders?

link building is easy with these! You can put both links on at once and have lots of torque.

The links for the Rush are incredibly beefy- I'm not sure those tools will work! Don't quote me on that, though.

As far as a first 700, why not? Ya gotta start somewhere- might as well start with this beast!

I think it would be a great first 700. It's a builders helicopter and for me, that's a good thing. The helicopter itself looks to be damn near indestructible. When you consider you have 2mm CF on the outside frames, frame supports of 2mm,CF two battery trays--each tray 2mmCF--that's 12mm of CF. Incredible. Plus, it's light! While I haven't had one yet, I think the helicopter will survive a crash quite well. I mean, 12mm main shaft, 10mm feathering shaft? It looks to be a VERY tough helicopter!

Unless this is your first helicopter, I can't think of a single reason why this wouldn't be a good first 700.

I don't have those tools, but do have a pair of link building tools and they don't work.. The links are the beefiest I've ever seen.. I think Charley is working on some link tools..

Thanks Scott. This is what I was seeing in your thread, and pretty much my same conclusion. I just wanted to hear any objections, if there could be any.

It is certainly a builder's heli. When I was assembling mine, the placement of each frame piece made me think, "Oh, I see why he did that- cool!" The Rush is just chock full of little things that make building, maintenance, or setup easier

We are hopeful to start seeing them trickle in at IRCHA after that they will come in waves.
I am no giant mass producer, I am a hobbyist that started a business that is now selling on a world wide scale.
Pre order sales are getting very high so I hope that many do not have to wait or if they do it's not for long.
I am doing all that I can trust me I want all of you to share my passion!
