I don't think u need a pull-up resistor with TTL.
Gonna find if i have any Hex inverter (7404) chip at work next Monday to try it.

I think they used Schottky barrier diode. There is 10K pull up to Vcc. 1Wire communication must pass through 100ohm resistor. Don't know if reversed biased on the diode. k towards TxD. Can't power MB through USB, I think as precaution. Our servoes too amp jungry. Might burn our PC USB bus.

The "Hacker ESC" interface and the "Multiplex USB to RX" interface should be compatible with the microbeast.
!!! Attention !!!
You have to make sure then that the middle connector (power / red) is not connected (pull it out of the connector), otherwise you might burn down your PC's USB hub by powering the complete Heli electronics including servos from it.

BTW:
The circuit with the diode was wrong, as the diode was inserted in the wrong direction.You also missed the pull up on the single line and you have to use a schotky diode that has not more than 0.2v to 0.3v @ a couple of mA. (e.g. BAT64-02W...)

Thanks for the advice Walter.
What's the value of the resistor should i use? Possible to draft/sketch the circuit for me?
That would save me a lot using my current USB to UART converter.

Your almost there.... Shottky diode, cathode to the Tx side, for the open drain 1-Wire environment.... 10K pull up.... 100ohms passes data communication to MB, I think that's to couple the 5V USB side to 3V MB dataline.... The soup is complete....

Here's how it worked for me. Standard 5V FTDI USB/RS232 (e.g. http://www.watterott.com/de/FTDI-Basic-Breakout-5V). Should work with all similar USB/UART-RS232 converters.

Please make sure to only connect the one wire data line and ground to the BeastX SYS Input. The Microbeast has to have it's own power supply like a backup battery or just the regular BEC switched on.

I can confirm that the Hacker USB interface works with the BeastX. Connect it with a female to female cable with the centre pin disconnected.

Old thread, I know, but I am about to get an AR7300 and was looking for the DIY usb adapter.

The schema above looks the same as a blheli 1 wire uart/usb adapter as well.

Just thought I would put it out there.

Hi everyone.
I'm interested in flashing Futaba GY-750, but I have no CIU-2 adapter, and no wish to pay $50 for $2 USB->USART adapter either.

Is there a working solution to flash firmware without original CIU-2?
