Default How do these things just happen overnight?

So weather was nice enough to fly yesterday. Granted wasn't my best day flying but it was still flying. I noticed a vibe yesterday when flying and thought to myself main shaft is cracked. Came in took it apart and sure enough main shaft was split. Put a new one it, go out and fly and no more vibes. Today go out again and all the sudden tail is kicking left out of nowhere just hovering.. Thought to myself could it be the main shaft, nope took it apart and it's fine. Put a new tail rotor on, no luck.

Guess the next step is a new tail motor? Megastumbler redid my fet and battery wires last fall so those are new.

How do these things just creep up overnight?

I have problems pop up sometimes just by changing batteries.

Had same issue and was kicking out momentarily during flight as well as hover. Wound up being main motor. Replaced and kick was gone.

I've had the quick intermittent tail kick before. Lucky it was just a slightly striped main gear.

I was contemplating that too, motor going bad and drawing current. I have a new tail motor I'm going to try. Don't have a new main motor handy, do have one that has some hours on it. Going to see if the new tail motor does it, if not might swap out the main motor I have on hand just to try. If that does it I'll pick up a new one. OR this could be the push to convert this to a BL bird

Whoops thought I had updated. Seems it was the tail motor. Haven't had any tail kick outs since I changed it.

Gonna have to check the battery wires at the board and possibly the main motor. Was doing some upright circuits just working on circles the other day and the main motor started shutting down when I got into tight turns adding collective. I have zero pitch at midstick. The batteries are good so I've eliminated those two things.

LOL ain't that the truth...and I have over a dozen mCPX's to keep up with...

Was a great time at the local indoor fly yesterday, I surprised the heck out of Megan (friend's wife) and did up a mCPX with Pink...canopy, landing gear, tail boom, rotor and fin..(and my trusty pink sharpie to accent the main blades)

Needless to say She was shocked and impressed...so maybe Wayne will bring his checkbook to the next one

Yes it does. Yeah it was crazy that literally right in the middle of the turn the main motor literally shut down, blades stopped and well into the ground I went Thankfully I was only a few feet off the ground so I didn't fall far but had some speed when it hit!
