Unhappy servo saver problems, pulling hair out

hi people,

i took apart and reconditioned my mini cp.
i changed the servos etc everything is fresh.

but or some reason ( and im using the same servo arms) i just cant get them to stay still in normal palce use/flight.

iv been through like 7 horns and now im out of them.

ive put heat shrink on them then heated them gently and with a lighter to shrink them, then put a rubber o-ring on them on top and when i smash the sticks they are all still slipping and i have to reset.

whats the best way of e fixing this? one servo is ok and is doing its job, but i dont want to have to buy 2 new servos just to get the horns.

i mean using heatshrink either way is just going to melt the servo horn and it has, 3 times.

i hear people use dental floss, how? and shall i look around my town localy to see if they have some sort of tube that will go over it tight enough.

ive got this bird setup so damn lovely with at least 6 mins of extreme 3d flying brushless with 350mah and now these servo horns have gone all rumple stilkskin its annoyed me

rant over and opnions are welcome PLEEASE!!!!

d

i use an oversize screw with a big flange. Tighten it down so you're using the friction between the flange and horn rather than the splines to hold them. Don't worry if they spread out, they'll hold. Adjust the screw torque to adjust tension. Somewhat less precise, as they'll no longer be splined, but works with worn out arms and lasts long term. I use the screws that come with the 5320 servo horns but a motor retaining screw with a nice size flange should do just as well.

I don't know how to show that in a picture haha. Just use a screw with a bigger head. That is all.
