the tail shafts turned up today and theres a long flat ground on one end so the gear sits on the other side of the housing to the picture in post one (its possible you have been sent the original shaft before it was modified).......mick

30 bucks!

I think I'll stick with the belt. Replacing a TT assembly looks pricey.

Thanks much for the write up! What distance in from each end did you put the bearing in? the 450 only has one bearing and it is a much longer rod... do you think that two bearings are needed?

after installing everything there was much rattling so i put an extra bearing in just in case (third of the way in) it turned out to be the owb ,tthe tt runs really smooth ,very happy with the result i got tired of the front belt pully vibrating but the tt helps to fix the problem .....mick

No DFC head and no torque tube.
Infinity hobby news has pics of a 250 with DFC head and Torque Tube - no official confirmation, but looks pretty plausible this could be the 250 PRO 3GX ?

just done first hover with the tt installed and there is a difference ,had slight wag with belt but now gone tail holds solid overall i think the tt works well (only hovered it) still got loads of belt parts to use up so once the 250 pro fbl is up and running i will swap them over just need to price up a crash to see which is cheeper to fix ,belt or tt....mick

Belts are always going to be cheaper and more forgiving when you crash. The DFC head looks nice. The torque tube should give the bird a more locked-in feeling tail.
My 2 cents. I would love to see Align come out with this as an "out of the box" complete kit with TT and DFC included. Let the customer chose the flybarless control.

there isnt much difference in price between the parts but in the event of a boom strike the shaft would snap (ive broke a c/f tail pushrod ) i got sick of replacing the front tail belt gear the tt runs smoother, ( will the align tt be a clone of the tarot one ).....mick
