Ok, got my Fusion 50 on the way, now I need to know what motor to throw in this bad boy. I have a trex 550 on 6s right now, so I wanted to go with a 6s setup on the fusion. Will I regret going with a 6s setup on this bird? I need all the feedback I can get. Thanks

I think your best bet is to look through the 6s 550 fusion thread. Theres some people going 6s with it. Slyster got his up and running on 6s. So hopefully he'll chime in and give u some good options.

I personally prefere the Neu motors. For the 6S I would go with the 1910/1Y. Greatest inrunner I was using in the past and would give you the option to move up to 8S if you want to. Make sure you call them and otrder it with 6 mm long shaft.

I use Neu motors as well... great motors! I use the 1907H/1Y 1400kv I moved from my Outrage 550... but I wish I could get an 11T pinion.. or even 10T..... so I'd suggest something more in the 1100kv range.

Thanks. I actually have the Neu Motor 1901/1Y in my Trex 550e, and love it. Is the fusion going to feel sluggish with a 6S setup? Thats what im worried about. Or will I get good performance out of the 6S setup?

read the thread I linked to there is a flight video in there... and now since with higher headspeed it has plenty of power. Its no 12s machine.... but enough for me.

I dont know how I missed that. lol Thanks. Looks like it has pretty good power. I think I need to see it on 12S now, to see the difference. I dont want to do the 550 conversion because I already have a Trex 550. I liked that this was bigger than the trex 550. Was considering nitro(Velo 50) but dont think I want to deal with the nitro clean up. lol I guess just being a little lazy about it. lol

the Exera or the Hyperion/Scorpion 4035-500 is very nice and tons of power.
and fits very well.

The other less obvious choice is the motor of a Compass 6HV. Those who have tried the 6HV verses a Scorp tend to stick with the Compass from what I gather. Anyway, this is what I have fitted and it is so far proving to be a really really nice bit of kit.

I've heard that Compass motor is actually great..

I will check on that also. I have a compass flybarless head on my trex 550 and love it, so I don't think their motor will disappoint me.

I know the pilot pretty well. I will have to ask him it 6S or 12S is preferable for defoliating the flying field...

I apologize, I may have ordered the last one in stock a few days ago (remember how my Trex 600E was gutless when you saw it fly?).

I am upgrading to 12S to add some more zip to it.
