How HeliDirect Lost Me as a Customer, But then Won me Back

I thought all of you might want to know just what HeliDirect thinks of its customers. On Monday, June 15th I placed an order for about $120 worth of replacement parts I needed after a bad crash. On Tuesday, June 16th, the very next day, one of those parts went on sale for $30 off. When I discovered this, I wrote an email to HeliDirect's sales department asking what I would need to do to get credited for the $30. Even a store credit would've been fine with me. But as you may have guessed, they claimed that they could not offer retroactive price matching even though it's their own price that they would be matching. I missed the sale date by 1 day... not a week, not a month, but 1 freakin' day. Most retail stores offer a credit even after 2 weeks, some even longer. And these stores do this not because they have to, but because it shows that those companies value their customers. It amazes me just how short sighted some companies can be. HeliDirect got to keep my 30 bucks, but they just lost me as a loyal customer. I will never spend a single dollar on their products.

UPDATE: I contacted Larry directly and he decided to credit me the $30 so I'm back to being a happy HeliDirect customer.
