Default Left roll tendency during hover.

Good morning all. I've recently gotten back into flying my helicopters as of late and just started messing around with my mSR. It needed new servo control rods and a set of landing skids which have since been replaced. It flies amazingly well and I was quite surprised I still remember how to keep it from crashing into everything.

The issue I am having is that during an OGE hover, the helicopter likes to roll to the left pretty hard without stick input. I can trim it out, but I have to almost max out my trim to compensate for it. I'd like some advice/feedback on the following ideas I plan to try to fix this issue, and if there is anything else I should look into. I'm stuck at work now so I won't be able to try them out till later:

1. Compensate the roll by manually lengthening or shortening the servo control rods.

2. Make sure the swash is level utilizing the leveling tool.

3. Check for any play in the pitch/flybar/cyclic control system.

4. Verify my TX settings.

Note: I have a DX6i that has a custom setup in it for the mSR, but I loaded that about 2 years ago, so I won't even lie and say that I remember what the settings are.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

If you haven't flown it in a while, try rebinding it to the DX6i first. Then adjust the servo rods.

I have rebound the helicopter to the TX and to the TX that comes in the RTF version of this helicopter but the left roll tendency is still present in both cases. Correct me if I'm wrong but once I have the swash plate in a position that gives a close to neutral hover utilizing the trim in my TX, if I adjust the servo rods to mimic that trim, this will give me the same effect and thus allow me to have full travel available in my aileron and elevator servos?

Thank you for your help.

Before trying a mechanical fix, try binding to an entirely new model in you TX...

I believe you can fly the mSR on a stock setup with no actual changes to the default settings...just bind it to a new memory model and try to fly it

Also make sure the swash plate pin has not jumped out of the guide

He is using the stock tx.

I tried that and it still had the left roll tendency. What I ended up having to do was extend the aileron servo link to compensate for this roll so that I wasn't using up all of my servo travel with trim. This worked perfectly and now it hovers with just a slight bit of toilet bowling going on. I also leveled out the swash plate with the leveling tool and made sure nothing was binding up. Unfortunately, while conducting some flight testing, I broke one of the guide posts for the pitch change links. The helicopter flies perfectly fine without it, but I suspect that over time the additional stress put on the other guide posts will cause them to fail as well.

Overall, I thank everyone for their help. Now it's time to get my mCPX back up and running. She's got a nasty problem with the main motor cutting in and out which I suspect is an control board issue....
