kind of off the topic
but I believe Ampdraw prices could in fact be true.
I just ordered/am getting a AR7200BX from Ampdrew for $198.69, Thats a $41.00 savings over everyone elses price of $239.99. Plus it and the other parts I ordered shipped the same day. I look to Ampdraw and Hopmeup first for all my heli needs.

I dunno Jonathan, for the big birds, I might agree, but the 300X is a different matter. The argument being, you're paying for an AR7200BX and about a hundred or so more bucks for a heli built around it. You've probably seen this argument bantered about around here. If you hate it, shrug, bin the heli, keep the AR7200BX. The other side (T-Rex 250) is not all problem free either if you look at the forums.
I was debating between the two and decided to try the 300X first. Of course, I also note you're in the UK and you may have to deal with 'UK' pricing plus VAT to contend with, so that argument may be less valid in your case.

$763 for a 500X with a beastX in it, wow that is a very good price. I love my little trex500 with a beastx. and that was a $200 upgrade.
the trex 500EFL pro is $699 and you get a 3GX and still have to buy an RX.

I will own the 300x! I always wanted a bit smaller, really a 120 size but that would not have been worth it imho. I think the 300x will b that perfect in between from the mcpx, indoor/ outdoor, and the 500, strictly flying field. The 300x could be flown a bit in backyard . Still a powerful little guy I'm sure. I hate fly bars so the 500 is out!, No money for that one..FBL that is.. Too much cost to repair for me.
I would try and sell my 4503d and buy the 450x as well if I got enough out of the 4503d. Great heli, don't want to put the money in the upgrade to make it fbl. Lots of options from blade now....

I too will own a 300x, I feel this is going to be a popular heli.
As far as selling your 3d to get the X, you have a few other options: a. just convert the 3d to FBL, with lower cost components. b. Buy the 450x and just keep the 3d for spare parts. Almost everything can be re-used on the 450X, (ESC, frame, bearings, gears, servos, landing gear, tail assembly, links, swash, canopy).. You could sell your 3d head, gyro, rx, and 420motor for a few dollars..

I am definately going to buy one and sell my trex 250 SE. I am a relative beginner so cost of spares is what is driving my decision.
The spares for the 300 X are half to a third of the price of a Trex 250 so its an easy decision. Regards, David |

I will say that it is much easier to find the Blade brand parts at more local hobby stores.

It's been my experience that I've had to order most of the parts for my b450 because my lhs didn't have them in stock or hasn't been able to get them from hh. I'm still waiting for parts that I ordered from my lhs almost two months ago.
