Default Yge 160hv setup help

I purchased a second hand xxtreme 160hv for my 7hv but I'm having a hard time setting it up with my vbar. I wanted to try the gov store first but the headspeed always ended up very low. Like it didnt learn the enpoints or the Gov didnt store high headspeeed. I tried 3 times to set the endpoints and then run the gov store and its not having it.
Perhaps I have got the wiring set up wrong to program the esc ? Do i connect the program wire to the left port of the program card and the right jumper to a y lead of the vbar? Can someone confirm the correct way

So I tried the vbar gov, I connected it all up as per mr Mel's videos and used the supplied adapter between the vbar and the program card and now I'm getting 'Governor Input Contains Glitches logs and the heli wants to tilt to right.

If i can get the gov store to work, I would rather use this as its a lot simpler to understand and cleaner for wiring.

Are you connecting power to ESC first and then the receiver when using the prog card?

On a regular YGE HV you need a custom made adapter for rpm sensor. Don't know how it is on these Xx-versions though

G'day "cupracing",

I've just discovered something about this Xxtreme version of the YGE 160HV that might be of interest to you.

Here's a cut and paste of what I've just posted on the Vstabi Xxtreme forum:

Quote:
It has been suggested to me and seems to be the case from playing with the Progcard II, that the version of the YGE ESC 160HV that comes with our Xxtreme kits (version 25 as marked on one of the capacitors) is not able to be programmed in "Gov. Store" mode.

Can this be confirmed and explained to me why please? Why would an ESC have a feature removed in a newer firmware version?

I borrowed a new YGE 160 (version 23) and have been flying my Xxtreme on the ESC governor happily for the last month or so whilst my original ESC went back to Germany to get a clean bill of health.

I have just purchased a new "Silver-line" Vbar and have not had the chance to try my old ESC with the new Vbar. Could someone also explain how to verify that the ESC is programmed properly for the Vbar governor if in fact I'm not able to use Gov. Store mode?

Thanks,

Jayson
