Default Flying Sport Landing Gear/ Blade SR Landing Gear

Is anybody running either of these on their 250. On my maiden both of stock struts snapped on the landing and on the same side. Luckily my master skills got it to land standing on only one strut. Once the blades stopped, it just tipped without any damage.

I've been flying with the sport gear for quite awhile. It gets my vote. Would not even consider going back to stock struts.

Great, I just ordered the flying sport ones. I couldn't believe how easy the stock ones broke. It was pretty cool to see it fly across my garage though.

I just posted a pic. BTW- It does have some bounce to it (built in shock absorbers for those 'harder' landings).

Thanks for the pic! I think I'll really like these as my 1 piece 450 Pro gear never broke and my 1 piece SR gear only broke in the HARDEST of crashes. The SR gear may be good for the 250 as it will make it sit a bit higher and wider. I might try them one day.

Flying Sport gear is really good. I almost forgot about the stock gear breakage issues...the FS gear is a must-get!

Where did you buy the Flying sports gear ?

Its "sold out" at HeliDirect and the Flying Sports Webpage isn't working any more...

Thanks
Ludger

IMO the 450 skids on the 250 make great landing skids, they are tough and they keep the tail out of the grass.I just cut the tubes down a little so they are a better fit..

I got the landing gear today. They are plenty spongy, I just wist that they weren't so tall, but the extra width is nice.

I take off and land on concrete or a scrap of carpet, but tall and wide LG is the way to go for grass.

Honestly, I did the same mental comparison between the two LGs when I first got the Sport Gear, but after about a week's time of flying that went away and the gear looked 'natural'.
