Default MKS servo fitment?

Are there any hardships installing MKS x8 cyclics in the Diabolo or will they be a direct fit? I would likely use Custom Heli Parts' carbon horns in conjunction with HC3sX fbl and Kosmik BEC. 17mm or 21mm ball spacing are apparently my only options with these particular horns. I've been told 17mm should work with the HC - anyone have direct confirmation on this?
I have also debated just using the older and more familiar form factor HBL 950 servos, but I really like those new ones with the beefy output shafts! I'm not totally convinced that the wicked specs of the 850s will make much difference over the 950s for a 700, but maybe? I guess I need a little encouragement to pull the trigger. Any input would be greatly appreciated here, guys. Thanks!

I'm not sure about the MKS, I run Torq's in mine, but I run the plastic horns that Chuck sells on Peak. The Torq's are big servos and fit great. I even have them in my Diabolo S.. And if I am not mistaken, I am the only one who ones one who does so. I had to modify them to make them fit the S, but in both my 700 and 800 they fit great. I believe you need 18mm center to center for the arm length but you may get away with 17.

The HBL 950s are not bad either. Ball spacing will depend on your fbl unit's needs? Mine took the longer ball placement.

OK thanks guys, I ordered the HBL 850s but haven't ordered the horns yet... I wish CHP had an 18mm option. Anyone know of an 18mm carbon horn for these servos? I have a request in to CHP to see if they will make 18mm horns for me. We'll see what they say.

Update: Dan at CHP already got back to me and said he would cut the 18mm horns for me next week!! Top notch service there.
