[SOLD] Two Fusion 50 Airframes

I have two fusion 50 kits that I would like to sell. I have not been happy with the quality of parts that outrage is producing, and since I frequently fly off of grass, torque tube tail drives are not ideal for me. These are the kits that I bought from cdsexton (http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=384671). I’ve recently had a problem with the motor and I have to send it to the manufacturer (yup, an outrage motor), so now is a good time for me to change airframes. I am happy with the other electronics and am just looking to move them over to another frame. This was a great airframe for me to start with, but now with the dumb thumb crashes behind me, I'm looking to move up to a higher quality kit. I certainly don't regret getting this helicopter, it was a great first 600.

I am comfortable selling Kit One to anyone who has owned a big helicopter before. I really would rather see Kit Two go to someone for spare parts, not to complete it. I MUCH prefer this all goes to one person because I'm 99% sure everything you need to get this thing flying again is here. And of course it’s simpler and cheaper to ship.

To the right person, this is an amazing deal. Please carefully read exactly what you are getting. I’ve done my best to document these kits, but let’s be real. There’s a LOT of details here and a real chance that I’ve missed or forgotten something. If you want a brand new kit.. buy a brand new kit It is up to you to ask all the questions you need to decide if this deal is right for you.

This kit is fully built. I have crashed it a few times but it has always been *extremely* minor.. like stripped torque tube gears/servos/broken landing gear. My most recent flight ended with a thermal cutoff on the motor and ESC and I had an ugly autorotation. However, it was onto thick grass after a very solid rain, and it landed skids first. You will need to replace the torque tube gears, landing gear, and main gear. Also, the tail sliding mechanism feels notchy.. which my guess is that some bearings need replaced. All the spares needed to repair to a like new state are included EXCEPT the notchiness in the tail sliding mechanism, which I assume is bad bearings.. You will receive the following:

• Complete Fusion 50 kit that I have flown, was in a minor crash, and is in the state described above
• CHP carbon battery tray upgrade
• A canopy in very good but not perfect condition
• A beater canopy with LEDs on it for night flying
• Some spare parts (below)

Spares include:

• NIP Optional tail boom support
• NIP Main shaft
• NIP 4 black tail gears/tail shafts
• NIP 3 black front bevel gears
• Tail drive gear (new but package opened – two came in the package, one left)
• NIP Black dampers
• NIP Red dampers
• NIP Extra canopy grommets (one is missing in the beater canopy, there are 5 in this package)
• NIP Black landing gear (struts and skids)
• Spare hardware bag (lots of extra screws/washers/etc.)
• Used orange plastic tail blades and used and chipped align carbon tail blades

All defects:

• Notchiness in the tail slider mechanism (I strongly suggest getting the second kit - you should be able to fix it with those parts!)
• A few other parts will need to be replaced (I’m including them)
• There is a stripped screw on the tail box (one of the screws that hold the bell crank in place.. I think that’s what the part is called). You will not need to remove it to get this kit ready to fly, and if you can’t get the screw out you can entirely replace the two pieces the screw is mating together... probably with parts from Kit Two.

If you purchase this kit, I expect you will need to spend up to 2 hours of work to replace the gears and skids. Then, put in your electronics/blades, and go fly. To the best of my knowledge, everything you need is included except blades and electronics. I’m selling this kit with everything listed above as-is for $250.

This kit is unfinished. The frame is built up, the head and tail case are built up, etc.. Most parts in this kit are like new and I’m confident that 99% of it is completely without defect. I have mixed/matched some things with the other kit, so I can’t call it new. There are some minor things missing (see below). But all the major parts are present aside from the canopy. This kit is absolutely perfect if you have a fusion 50 already and you want a spare everything. I’m selling it as-is for $200. It is in about the same state of completion as when I received it.

All defects:

• A few missing screws
• No canopy
• No battery straps
• The “Tube shaft splines” (the parts that go into the end of the torque tube.. you are getting a torque tube and splines, but they don’t match because outrage made different versions of these parts.
• Skids are a little bent, they are the ones in the crash, but they are still completely usable.
• Some markings on the tail boom where the tail case was pinned (this boom used to be on the other kit.)
• There are small carbon fiber bits that go over the mounting holes on the cyclic servos and tail servo. I'm not sure if these serve a purpose or are decorative.

Conditions

I will not sell Kit One until I have a buyer for Kit Two. I will be waiting at least 24 hours to hopefully find a buyer for both kits.

I will do my best to be fair, honest, and reasonable. That said I reserve the right to sell to whomever I wish. I will favor selling to someone who wants the whole thing. When I send you my paypal account information, you will have 6 hours unless otherwise agreed upon. Sorry to see you selling this, but I understand. The Outrage kits are great stuff, but they do require a bit more tweaking than some.

This is a good deal, one complete air frame and parts for crashes. I wish I could swing buying it back, but having just pre-ordered a Goblin 630, my wife would kill me.

I totally understand the whole wife agro. As far as I can tell she actually gives you a lot of rope already cdsexton, Mr. Goblin 700 and 630. So do you have your preorder ready for a 770?

Nope, no interest in anything that big
