Default Goblin 500 Sport Headspeed

Not sure where to ask this question but some of you may have same setup as me!

I have a scorpion 4020-1350kv with 17tooth pinion! HW 100amp v3 with ikon2 gov! Mrmels says for best performance is to run around 2650rpm! What I am confused about is how low of an rpm can run in normal mode and stunt 1 without causing harm to my esc! I am having trouble finding this information! Thanks!!!

Check ESC for heat as you progressively reduce. Or better, select the headspeed you want and then gear optimally for it.

That's more of a high headspeed motor you got there. But on the bright side the heli feels great at 2650. You don't wanna go much below 2550 it doesn't feel right unless you change blades.

I know many people really bash the stock blades but they're not that bad geez not at all. I recently bought Switch 503's for mine and I actually put the stock blades back on for now. It was much too radical a change from what I was used to. Heli became way too fast lol

Do any of you guys run same head speed in all flight modes? For some people when they go into stunt you really hear their heli speed up!

I fly at 2400hs all the time. Its plenty of hs for me. Sometime 2500 but not neccessary for me. I can do 4 point tictoc and piro tictocs with 2400.

I use 1900, 2100 and 2300.. nothing changes but the headspeed in my 3 modes. It actually is fun and more relaxing to fly at low RPM.. here is 1800. So I'd leave one mode low. Try it! Long flights too.. 7 mins.

Goblin 500 at 1900 RPM and 2100 RPM (2 min 41 sec)

same with me.

and if you have an ikon gov, you won't need a tach. just set rpm and you're done.
