Who doesn't put razor blades on their heli's? I thought that was standard procedure.

The razor blades on the blades would fit nicely in the next Saw movie !

Incredible. He was one mechanical failure away from death by TREX 500.

Yeek... I had seen all of these but the last one - that seems kinda crazy. I'm surprised it could pull the guy along though.

What? 13 real amps. Think I'll try that on a canoe. Crazy. Chris

They already have those in Florida, they're called swamp boats. At least those guys are smart enough to put a shroud around the fan.

Here are the choices:

Grabbing some tail... Apparently this person has realized the error of his ways; maybe the public admission of idiocy will make him a safer pilot. He may have a sliver of hope.

Raptor indoors... Wow. I mean, WOW! What can be said about that? Even though this video has been around for a while, it never ceases to amaze me. Who said 90 sized helis are for outdoor use only? Apparently no one told this clown!

Razor main blades... If you feel that your spinning blades don't pose enough danger, then attach some razor blades to the tips. I can almost swear that I have read that in the construction manual somewhere.

Raptor explosion... Not sure this is really in the same class as the others here, but it is a good demonstration of the forces that these little "toys" have and is a good reminder for the rest to not take anything for granted.

Crash on man's head... This is a classic video showing where two fools met. "Hey man, let me land my helicopter on your head." "Okay, dude. Let's video it." Not sure what else needs to be said here.

Raptor chicken dance... This video probably isn't in the same class as the others, either. But, the guy was certainly going to go dance with a Raptor! I think all of us at one time or another will (or have) come across someone who is a little too eager to help in a situation. At least this guy had some guidance!

and Air chair... We have some people here who appear to be smart, but certainly don't display it in their actions. However, don't worry about these idiots, they're professionals. If only the chair would have tipped over...

This compilation makes judging very tough. Each is a potential Darwin nominee if only the proper conditions would have been met. All are different, but each has a great display of how rare common sense is utilized around these "toy" helicopters. As far as picking the best of the worst... I'm afraid I can't pick one over the others.

The true winner will be anyone who has watched these videos (or others) and practices good judgement with RC helicopters, or diffuses a stupid situation before someone hurts themselves or a bystander.

The first guy with the 250 catch is "trexn8" on here... he's a good guy. The video was filmed at one of our local indoor events - he has decent control over it, not as bad as some of the other videos.

I don't know of any video of it, but Robert Gorham, of the former GMP helicopters, used to fly a GMP Cobra (60-size nitro) nose-in over his own head and kiss the canopy, and this was with glitch-prone AM radio gear and a metal frame.

Also no video, but at the 1st world championships up in Ontario I saw a team hover a Bell 222 while a team mate walked under it and adjusted the needle valve in flight.

Cool flying. Only problem is if it hit one of those lines, there would be no "flash." The momentary transient as charge equalized might (but not necessarily) cause momenary loss of radio control but no high voltage short would result.

Correct. Have you seen the video of heli-supported line maintenance?

This guy is a serious moron:
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PQsBWSYoEUc[/ame]

Most of his videos show absolutely no respect for the dangers of RC stuff.

He knows what he's doing. It's just a silly commercial trying to sell the RTF heli.
