Bantam BC-6/RC Power BC6 issues
Hey all,
I am not a Heli guy yet. I am not rich enough to start that yet. I have an RC Power BC6 that I bought through R2hobbies.com. I have had it for abour 6 months, and I thought that my older 3s1500 packs were bad. So i bought some new Turnigy 3s1500 packs that just came in the mail last week. Everytime I try to charge the packs (any of the 4) I always get an error of "BATTERY VOL ERR CELL LOW VOL" and when I check which cell is bad it is always cell #3. I have a hard time believing that all of my batteries (especially my new ones) are bad. Does any one have any tips. I was wonderins if my charge lead is bad where It reads each pack. I can't see a problem. Anyone else have any similar issues. The problem with buying Chinese stuff is they don't care about you after you have given them their money. Pleas help |

Checked the voltages with my multi meter
I just checked the voltages of 3 out of my 4 packs with my multi meter and they all seem to check out fine. I have around 11.8 volts on all of them right now. I'm starting to think that I just got a POS charger

Um, actually this is the general battery support forum, not just for Bantam. No offense intended. Mike, Is that the charger that has a carbon fiber pattern? If so, I think the charger's a knockoff of the Bantam BC6, same or similar wiring and programming, but the balance board is wired wrong. IDK if it's compatible with the Bantam balance board. I had the same one, and it always gave me that same error, and always with the same cell. IMO just get a good quality charger because it pays off in the end and you won't have to go through all the frustration.

BATTERY VOL ERR normally comes up with me when the input current or voltage isnt man enough.
Other things to check are: use a voltmeter tocheck that there is 3.1 volts(ish) per cell at the balancer plug. it could well be a disconnected wire. wither on the battery or charger balance connector. Also you should check that the max mah in the software is not limited to a low number ie less than 2000mah in your case Hope this helps |
