possibly with 65c packs, it could be done, but short flight times on the horizon...

My Current setup as I have all 6s packs ( genace 3800 and 5300 )
So I setup 6s for maiden today an had 3 flights for easy 3D at around
2000-2100 headspeed.

My setup :
6s 3800 or 5300mah
Pyro 650-65 with15T
Hobbywing 120HV
Hyperion phase sensor
Full size VBar with governance turn on

It does everything I can do except a little slower.

Anyone know where I can get a 16t or 17t pinion ? After market ?
Will the TDR pinion work ?

I believe if I can up the headspeed this will be good base 3D machine to learn good collective that will be cool with this very smooth and precise machine even compare to my logo.

The tdr pinion will not work. The synergy bevel cut is slightly different. Matt optimized it for less vertical thrust on the motor.

Curious how you got those numbers?

Hover RPM at beginning of flight: 1981
Hover RPM at middle of flight: 1824
Hover RPM at end of flight: 1761

To fly 6S and stay with a 8.3:1 ratio you'd need a high kv motor. With 16/17t pinions your getting below 7:1 ratio. Not optimal at all.

Hi Helico-pteron,

You are right... i was using 4.2V to calculate.
Going away from 6S...into 8S.
