Default Chucked a magnet

Was having awesome flying today. YS 91SRX Tareq making serious power. Then, on about the 4th flight, the engine overrevved like mad on one pass out of a piroflip to inverted backwards flight. No alerts Vbar. Then found the empty socket on the clutch bell. GForce clutch comes out easy...

I am surprised the VBar does not have a fail safe mode.

If the Skookum gyro loses sensor input (like a magnet is thrown) it sets the throttle to 70% servo travel and stays there until the gov is disabled (like throttle hold).

Good that you did not blow up the motor.

Good point. I was thinking the same thing. The default Vbar curve which is a bell shape. I believe the center stick is much reduced. So, although it has a curve to come back to, evidently it didn't detect a signal loss since the sensor was still apparently sensing. Not sure how it's activated. Might even be a setup error on my part. I should check with the Vstabi forum.
