Knowing what motor you are using would be helpful.

"How many teeth is best"
All of em, brush daily hehe J/K

What motor, 430XL? If yes probably 13T for 3D... although best you experiment and see for yourself then go with what feels right to you. 12T if you get bogging or better collective management. Noob here, others with more experience should know better or can elaborate on what I have just said in detail.

EDIT: Never mind HFG got ya

I ran my 430XL back in the day on 12T with 85% gov and i didn't bog it at all ..... just have to learn some collective management.

I'm using a 22T pinion.

I'm doing some hardcore 3D.

I get about 22 seconds of flight time.

When I got my XL 12T is what most recommend I run. At the time I assumed they knew I was a noob and took there word for it. But now I'm thinking if 12T is good enough for 3D maybe better I run at 11T. Given I will also be running w00dies I think that would be best, HFG do you agree?

I dunno, i never ran it on 11T. The problem with the 430XL is that it lacks torque so the only way to really do anything other than sport flying it to built up alot of energy in the blades with a crazy HS before doing something then letting it build back up afterwards.

Seriously.... I like the 13t on the 430XL. I also run a 12t, it works great and is better on lipos. On 13t, @ 100%, I only run about 4.5 min. Collective management is the key no matter the pinion or HS.

Or change the motor.

JGF 500T

Scorpion 2221 - 6 or -8

Medusa 28 - 40 - 2500 or -3400

etc.
