Default Funkey Bell 222 600 size with Century NX Mechanics

After a long 6 months of building this in the living room of my one bedroom apartment over the past 6 months, she's done! Hurray! I must say, I'm very pleased with how it turned out!

It's painted from spray cans of Tremclad rust primer and rust paint, and clearcoated with Minwax, oil based clear gloss polyurethane spray.

The top hatch is held in place using x6 magnets and x2 guide pins on the aft side.

Here's the specs:
-Century 50NX mechanics with aluminum lower side and servo frames
-Rotortech 615mm, FAI blades (H-6101C)
-OS 50 Hyper
-Coolpower 15% heli fuel
-Revolution 50 size muffler (which fits completely inside the fuse)
-Futaba S3152 servos for cyclic
-Futaba S9202 for throttle (because thats all I had lying around)
-Hitec HS7966HB servo for tail rotor
-CSM360 gyro (15yrs old)
- x3 HS225 servos for retracts
- McDaniels Slo-go retract device (to slow the retracts down)

I must say, she is beautiful in the air! Haven't done any aerobatics yet , but autorotations are fairly easily accomplished.
Hope to have some photos of her in flight in a few days.

Curtis

Very Nice! I would like to see more detailed photos. So with the muffler inside the fuse there are no heat problems? Video of the slow retracts would be cool.
I have the 50 sized Funkey 109 Coast Guard I hope to build this winter.

Well done with that 222. Maybe see you at a fun-fly in the area next year. Take care.
