Default Nano rotor spinning backwards

I just picked up a like new still in box Blade Nano CPX and Spektrum DX5E. Weird thing is, the main rotor spins backwards. It operates off the throttle stick just like you'd expect, but it's spinning backward. Connections all seem to be good. I'm not new to flying Blade heli's, but I'm not a seasoned vet either. I've been flying a 120sr for the last year or so, but I've never had a problem like this before. I've been searching and haven't found anything. Maybe my google-fu is weak.

Any ideas?

Un plug the main motor turn the plug 1/2 turn and plug it back in.
Should fix it.

I'm sorry, I messed up. The rotor isn't spinning backward, the pitch is backward.

One thing I forgot to mention. I followed the binding instructions very carefully, several times. It seems to bind, but there is a note at the end that says if the swash plate moves when you hit the trainer switch, it's in computer controller mode, and re-bind. But it never seems to work. The trainer always makes the swash plate moves. And I just noticed this, when you throttle up, it's only pushing harder into the ground. But if you hold the trainer switch, it corrects the pitch and the bird will fly. (Not well, but it will fly).

I feel like I have something screwed up here.

My problem isn't that the blades are spinning backwards. I jumped to a dumb conclusion. The rotor is spinning the correct direction, but my pitch is reversed. I think what I have is a binding problem. Following the bind instructions to the letter, but the note at the end says that if the trainer switch moves the swash plate, you're in computer controller mode and must rebind. I can't get this darn thing to bind no how. And I'm starting to get frustrated. Ever get so mad that the wife and dogs avoid you even though you haven't said anything? They can just sense it. That's where I am now.

Did you reverse the pitch channel on the TX (as specified in the manual)? It's the only channel that requires it. Common oversight.

The only mention of pitch channel that I see in the manual refers to the DX6 and above. The DX5 has several reversing switches, but none of them are for pitch, and there isn't any mention of what their position should be in the manual. The manual for the bird doesn't say much about the DX5 other than the binding procedure and the manual for the TX appears to be written for a plane owner that requires a binding plug.

Took it to my local hobby place. They couldn't get it to bind either. Gave me a 1-800 number to call. They also mentioned that even if I do get it bound, my DX5 isn't going to work too well with the nano. Apparently the nano is a handful to fly without being able to customize the controls a bit to tame it down. So there's that.

When you bind the DX5e, can you bind it like the RTF model (rudder full left) instead of computer radios (rudder full right)?

I think this to enable on-board collective reverse and auto DR/expo capabilities (but I am not sure as I have only ever used a nano with DX6i or better).

Hope this helps.

That's what I've been trying. The manual says to bind it with the rudder left. Which is what I do, but it seems to have no effect. Rudder left or right or no rudder at all, it all comes out the same. I even tried to bind the DX5 to my MCX2, it binds, but for some reason, it spins the top rotor but not the bottom rotor.

RC helis are both very fun and very frustrating!
