Default xg11 to xg8 or xg14

I love my XG11, but I planned to buy the XG6 just for a sim radio. But now, I'm thinking about the XG8 or XG14 and keeping the 11 for sim use. I love the larger case of the XG11 for my large hands. But wanted some opinions, though the ads say the xg14 gimbals are the best. I've held the 14 and it's nice, but I Iike larger cases so I didn't want to buy the xg14 and decide to use that as my sim radio because I prefer the xg11. If I bought the xg8 I would be ok turning that to a sim radio if I preferred the 11.
Sorry for the confusion, but I would like some feedback from those who have used these radios. Unfortunately the 28 is not an option at the moment due to the price.

I have the 11X and the XG14.

The XG14, as you have pointed out, is definitely smaller (and lighter). I have large hands, and sometimes fly the XG14 and the 11X (predecessor of the XG11 using the same case) back to back (sometimes the 28X too, if it is a busy day). The different size tx cases don't bother me, but the sticks on the XG14 are too me, are much more important than having the larger case of the 11X). The XG14 is slightly more comfortable for me to hold than the 11X.

Different things are important to different people.

Thanks man, that helps a ton. I thought about it today, and the RF interlink I used for years is a lot smaller than any transmitter I have owned, but I put a gazillion hours on it. Plus, the xg14 seems like the gimbals are just bada$$. I will make the order in a couple of weeks when I'm back in town. It will be nice to update my receivers with the promo from rg831 to the xbus type. Wish I could get the 28x, but maybe one day.

The XG14 sticks are the best I have ever had including Proline Competition. To get better you need to spend $2700 on the 28X - reportedly. The XG14 sticks are much better than the 12Z or 14MZ sticks.

I think the biggest problem for me might be the size of the case. Essentially I am only buying this for sim use. The plan now is to keep my XG11 and buy the xg8 for Sim use/backup TX. If I really get used to the xg8 feel then I might uprade. Spoke with Jamie about this in March and he still prefered his xg11 over the new case style. When I held someone's XG14 I felt the same way.
