Default Is Horizon Hobby out of the FLB Business?

Sorry but before we talk about the real topic at hand, I have to get something off my chest:

PEOPLE, get with the program! The AR7300BX is NOT the next generation of the AR7200BX just like the Microbeast HD was not the next gen of the Microbeast. Its pretty excruciating seeing people posting this terribly wrong information all the time so please stop. If it isn't obvious enough, Horizon is liquidating their AR7300BX stock (for $130) and when they are gone they are gone. Unfortunately, since the 7300 was designed for large birds and based on technology that was obsolete before the product was even announced, they cant seem to even sell them for $130.

Any way, so the real question is do we think that Horizon is simply out of the business or will they be releasing something in the future? Personally, I am hoping to see equivalents of both the Microbeast Plus Pro v4 (AR7200BXv2) and the Microbeast Plus Pro v4 HD version (AR7300BXv2). Unfortunately, I really think that they are canning BeastX in favor of a AS3X based combo FLB receiver.

What are your thoughts?

You could very well be right being they ditched all their big helis, but time will tell. No sense asking HH, you could ask 3 different employees and get 8 different answers. Ultimately it's a waiting game to find out, but it sure would be nice to have a new version of Beastx with integrated receiver, one can hope!

How true, Steve...I agree

Having said that, I also believe that HH will do what the market demands...even if the decisions are not in the best interests of the single-digit percentage of their customer base that flies hardcore 3D

I am hoping the 7200 is reliable and solid...I have a used 450X coming that will be My first foray into larger heli's...but I can assure you that it will probably not fly like this, no matter what I do

To add to this, I am really interested to see what HH does with the 300cfx and 360cfx and to some extent the 450x (I assume its on borrowed time) after the AR7200BXs run out. Assuming that they dont introduce their own AS3X solution, I am guessing that they will just include a Microbeast Pro Plus and a sat in the future.

I have thinking the exact same thing for the last two months....only time will tell. I do really like my AR7200bx.

Well I guess this question is now answered with the latest Spektrum FBL unit based on Microbeast Plus V4. But I was surprised the Spektrum version was a full year behind the Microbeast. Maybe there was some kind of agreement with BeastX to boost sales of Microbeast Plus before bringing out the Spektrum alternative?

I am very happy to see the AR7210BX is coming out this fall. I only wish it wasn't right before are we get 14' of snow.

By the way, I also see no mention of the AR7300BX anywhere so that appears to be dead now too. Maybe there's a AR7310BX in the future.

Would love that, would be perfect and I'd stay with BeastX for the next project or two.
