Thanks for sharing JC! Couple of quick questions... given that the BLS257 is typically a rudder servo, why was it used for cyclic here? It has enough torque without risking stripping a gear on a hard maneuver?

Also, I noticed in other NX4 pictures the use of a header tank. Do you know if one will be provided in the kit or is this something extra?

Finally, do you know if blades will be included in the kit?

Thanks again!

Both Bobby and I flew IRCHA with Futaba BLS257's they are working great. But I really like my Savox servos.

Header Tank has not been discussed as far as I know. I think it will be a separte purchase.

My Set up is

OS 37
OS Pipe
PowerMaster 30%
Throttle Jockey Gov
Hyperion LiFe 1450 2s
Savox 1250's on Cyclic and Throttle
Savox 1257 on Tail
AR7200BX
KBDD Lime Green Dampers
KBDD 70.4mm New Edition Tail Blades
SpinBlades 435mm 3d Blades
2750HS Idle 2

Thanks, I just ordered up some Edge 423mm FBL blades and Edge 72mm tails. On the pipe... do you have a part number for the OS pipe? Only pipe part number I've found is for the Hatori pipe.

Can you tell we're all chomping at the bit???

Unfortunately I don't have a part number for the OS Pipe yet.

Chomp Chomp ;-)

It's there to keep the motor from leaning out. It does serve a purpose ;-)

If you watch Bobby's video's he never flys into the header.

What about an O.S. Bubbleless clunk? That's what I use on my 700N...works great. Also, I'm trying to make a decision on how I will power this heli. I know I want to stick with 2s lipo and go through a regulator. I have been going back and forth on several models, but I may have just found something small and perfect for the job:

http://www.western-robotics.com/hercules-linear_hp.html

This picture shows all the available options. If you look, one of them is a rocker switch. Any way we can get the dimensions for the opening by the nose to make sure this switch will fit in there?

Comes with this neat LED to alert you to a low battery and optional buzzer if you wanted that.

My thoughts are to use a SwitchGlo Pro for the glow driver and just use this small regulator to feed everything 6v and their switch to power it on/off. Keeps the weight down.

OS Bubbless clunk is really to help keep the fuel from foaming. It's really not going to help in lean part of the tank. And won't really help in foward flight toward the end of the tank. I am not running a header and had a flame out with a clunk.

I will be running a header tank. Headers are cheap. $13ish

Thanks Matt!

It looks like the frame has a cutout towards the nose for a switch. Too bad they didn't put this someplace else where you don't have to take the canopy off to flick the switch. On my 700N, I put the switch near the tail boom, so I just flick it and never have to deal with the canopy.
