I'm setting up my dx9 and wondering if the settings for the MCPX BL is the same for the MCPX v2

They can be. But, you'd be better off with a bit more expo, and less D/R, and perhaps a flat 80%, or "V" throttle curve. Also, you can set tail gyro gain and assign it to the gear or flight mode channel.
