Default USB link for Gyro

Do the users of the Spartan Gyros find that the USB link is a good tool to have? I quess my questions would better be put as: For those of us that are not 3D flyers...yet, are the basic settings of the gyro by using the push button enough or are there things within the gyro that can only be gained by the USB link to computer that would be of use at this level?

Thanks

I have the same question. Is it worth the extra cost for the link and link adaptor?
I have my Quark programed the basic way 72 mentioned.
It works good, Am I missing added benifit?

I have the usb link.
The only thing I have ever used it for was to update the firmware.
The gyro works so well as it is that I do not feel the need to change any of the settings.
This goes for all my helis with a quark. From a trex 250 to a 550.
