Default Need help picking a new micro, HCP60, K110 or Blade Nano CPS

Been doing a lot of research and I have it narrowed down to the 3 in the subject. I'm mainly looking for something I can fly indoors, some front yard flying and something to build my 3D skills on. I've been flying a master CP for the past 1.5 year and I can hover it and do circuits. Costed me a lot in parts to get that far, so I'd rather not attempt 3D on the master CP just yet.

I haven't flown the HCP60, but I have the K110 and used to have the Blade Nano.

Hands down, the K110 is better than the Blade Nano. In fact, it's better than ANY of the Blade micros I've owned. There's also the added benefit that you can fly it with a Futaba S-FHSS transmitter (I use a T6J), but the TX that comes with the RTF combo is remarkably good.

Don't expect to do 3D indoors with it, unless you're talking about an indoor basketball court or similar. I do, however, do mild 3D in a very small area in my driveway / street.

I use it as my "real sim", and I'm very impressed with how it flies, and how durable it is.

Some people seem to be successful with it 3D indoor smaller rooms.

Waiting on mine to arrive.

The K110 is really on the top of my list, my only reservation is getting parts for it here in the U.S. Where do you order parts from?

I guess I should have said to the OP "at your reported experience level, don't expect to do 3D indoors."
Of course it's capable of it, if the pilot is. I'm not.

I've not found a US parts source. Some eBay vendors might be in the US, but a friend ordered from what was listed as a US source and it still shipped from China.

That said, don't worry about it. Order a few extra spindles and main gears, and fly it. I've turfed mine several times and only once bent a spindle, and that was a full collective inverted impact onto pavement. And I actually finished out the pack before realizing the spindle was bent!

Hcp60 is small and fun, but durability is bad with the blade grips.

K110 is one awesome heli, but I don't find it as ideal for indoor.
Flew all 6 of my hcp60 10 batts and broke each one. All repaired. This is typical on this heli.

Forget blade. Overpriced junk micros.

K110 Spares needed are main gears, feathering shafts, tail assembly, and not much more.

If you want to stock up it's super cheap.

Swash
Head block
Blades
Many main gears
Tail shafts /tail motors, tail motor holder. You'll rip them off, not wear them down.
Blade grips
Skids
Many feathering shafts.
Tail props. Buy the k120 version. Superior tail hold

Never bent a main shaft. Never broke a frame.

Best heli out. Flys amazingly well and has 3g and 6g modes. Tough as nails. Great transmitter. Cheap batteries.

Parts are everywhere online. EBay, tomtop, Banggood, Gearbest, geek buying.

Many parts except tail motor and main board are shared with the v977.
The entire head, main gears and blades are also shared with the k100.

Please see the many posts on the k110 for interchangeability.

hands down the K110
If you are flying in a smaller room i recommend the K100 .
both share the same parts except for the tail (K110 is longer and moter has thicker motor and shaft)And you can fly both of them with the same transmitter

You came to the right place and asked the right question, now just do yourself a favor and get the k110. You are going to be amazed at just how stable and durable it is. Your only question is going to be "How come I didn't get this a year and a half ago?" Seriously, pull the trigger. You will not be sorry. And there will be no need to sign back on to thank us all for this great advice, we understand.

I posted a similar thread recently and ended up going with the k110 as well. My only thought on the nano was for indoor flying, but ultimately outdoor was more important along with initial cost.

As mentioned maybe the k100 is more indoor friendly or a small quad. The nano qx has been referenced in other posts as an option to master indoors. Though now we're talking spektrum radios or more money for rtf packages..... yeah, k110 all the way.

I also like that it comes with a programmable radio which covers you on futaba fhss and pcm port for a sim.

Stock up on parts, they're cheap. Think I'm going to do another order to flesh out my spares an bit more.

That happened to me, even though it showed in stock when I ordered. I cancelled and ordered mine from an eBay vendor instead.

Do you remember the seller? How long did it take to get to you. I'm assuming you're in the US?

I need to get some more of these HCP 60s. I ordered extra grips but had a bad crash and split the head and bent the feathering shaft and the grips are fine. So, I'm waiting on those pieces now. I did glue the two pieces of the head back together and straightened the feathering shaft, but it only held for a few flights.

It was this seller:

http://stores.ebay.com/bestofferoverhereinc/

I ordered it on Nov 25, and got it Dec 15. Yes, I'm in the US.

You may also want to try TomTop.com. I ordered on 12/31 (for $85), shipped 1/4 and it hit chicago 1/11. We'll see how long it takes from there..

I was getting ready to cancel BG and order from tomtop since it's cheaper, but my BG order is now showing shipped! Can't wait.

Congrats, you made the right choice. The Flysky helis are ok but to me they FBL system just doesn't feel locked in and there is no way to up the gain. The servos are imprecise and have a good bit of deadband. If you smack them around outside they fly well enough but not good for me indoors. I loved the Nano CPX but the CPS feels loosey goosey like the Flysky.

The V977 (brother of the K110) flies like it has a vbar in it.
