Wow. That kinda sucks. That build looks easy and fast. I was hoping it was gonna take a little longer.

Torque Tube

The manual has the 2 bearings on the torque tube evenly spaced from each other, and evenly spaced from the ends.

What gives?

This is in complete contradiction to the 600 where the bearing is offset to help reduce vibration. If the bearings are evenly spaced, they act like nodes and set up a harmonic vibration.

Any idea why they went away from this when they got it right the first time?

The situation with 2 bearings is a bit different. To crate a harmony wave the length of the middle section has to be twice the length (or multiplied by two) of the outer sections.
That's obviously not the case for critical lower frequencies and not an issue on higher ones. But it does not hurt to have it just a few millimeters offset ..

Thanks to Victor for supplying the Production version of the manual.

The manual can now be downloaded directly from Helifreak. I added a link to the first post so it is listed with the Pre-production version as well. It is also below for quick access.

Made a reply to you in this thread http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=113299
Someone should move it to "engine and muffler" forum.
