I really like that canopy! Is that made by align? Yes! Let's make this a sticky.

I like the smaller helis just as much as my collection of 700+ size helis. Of course the presence of a 700 size machine smacking around right in front of you is impressive...I also enjoy the compact size of these 470 size helis, not to mention their crash costs being a fraction of their bigger brothers of course! 😄

I am very happy with the improvements on this 470L over the 450L...looks like Align is listening or doing their homework. Looking forward to receiving my Trex 500X soon!

Thumbs up

Nice! I like that plastic version, am curious to see how it holds up over time with hard flying....I'm sure it's great! With the low cost that you can get these kits for I'm almost tempted to try one.

I think I need to undo the swash links one turn then do the grip links up one turn to even things up. The swash looks to be in the middle of its travel but there is plenty of room above it when at max pitch.

I put a notch in the skid to stop the tie from sliding down.

i would be careful zip tying antennas to skids. You don't want to rip them out in a crash. Nice heli!

That is why I use the fuel tubing. The ties are just tight enough that the antennas can pull out.

Cheers.

Kind of reminds of Soxos 700 paint scheme...

I got hold of the new canopy last weekend. The green pops real nice and shows up much better than the kit one. Unfortunately turning the model nose in and depending on the sky it kind of gets lost again..

Align used to have a nice scheme on the 700 nitro years ago that for me showed up very well being yellow with an orange nose.

Everyone has different eyes, some may be partially color blind, the best thing to do is to find the colors that appears clearly/distinctively to you.

I've read some Helifreaks here have been known to get a custom canopy paint job from canomod/fusuno or some canopy specialists, custom paint job, that makes it easier on the eyes.

I have had a few Fusuno ones done.

Now looking for a 470 but they don't do one yet.
