Default Trex700 "power systems"

Edited for the new Sticky

My setup:
TREX700
YS 91ST and Hatori SB16FH
BLS 451's x4
JR770 and 8900G
Align 2n1 and Zippy-K 1800mah 2s1p
Radix 710SB's

general comment about setup:
Great no wait Awesome power! Very smooth and this was a used YS91ST off ebay and pipe was from forums. BLS451's were used as well. I love the whole setup. Very fast, accurate and convenient. Expect it to last a long time .

My original post requesting this thread below

Seems there are 20 threads about OS versus YS versus new OS versus rubber bands etc...

If we had a sticky about power systems that work like in the E forums, maybe people wouldn't have to post so much about motors etc....

We could break it down by dollar groups too

For the frugal ones like me
and the rich ones like the rest of you ehehheehhe

No honestly though.

It's silly how little YS 91ST's can be had for now. Combined with a used SB16FH Hatori it's wicked power on my Rex700. More is always better, but I've bought 3 used YS 91STs that are like new for 140, 160, and 190 shipped. I've got 2 Hatori SB16FH's for $55 like new shiped and complete, and $35 for the muffler can only(no header). I'm keeping my other ST's for spares and I'll be running SR's for future builds, but if you can find a trustworthy person and a like new YS91ST don't think it's going to bog taking off lol. My 91ST is flying better than my buddies Rex700 with 91SR/SB19FH combo. His is still rich, but personally, I haven't seen a huge leap in power between the two. I'm hoping I'm proven wrong on my Aurora which will be using a 91SR/SB19FH combo. In fact I really can't even fly my 600N's now as they seem like wind up toys in comparison. The power difference is THAT much. I wasn't prepared for how much more power it was, and I'm very critical in that area being spoiled with powerful cars in the past. I love power what can I say, but sometimes spending 2-3x more for 10% improvement just doesn't make sense for SOME people. I'm schitzophrenic in some ways b/c some days I'll spend whatever it takes, then the next day I'm in cheap mode and wanting to stretch my $ as far as I can. Often having nothing to do with how much I have in my hobby account, but moreso on mood etc...

Also, used OS SZ's can be had for very decent pricing. IMO I'm sold on YS, but OS has been around awhile and can be viable alternatives if you prefer them or that's all you can realistically get ahold of or service.

T 700 kit (with bent links)
YS91SR
Hatori SB19
QuickUK Header Tank (not needed, except to give me a clear signal when to land)
Wilcat 30%
OS "Bubble-less" clunk (works GREAT!)

AR7100R (With data logger and 2nd remote rcvr)
DS8717 at 8V on Cyclic
Align "Wheel" arms (these are cool - I have zero subtrim and a perfectly square setup)
DS8717 at 8V on Throttle, with 7100R RPM Limiter setup
GY611 and Matching servo on tail, Stock Blades
3700mAh 2S receiver battery (3 to 4 flights, even with SG)
Switchglow

Radix 710 Stick Banger main blades

RC Booya Canopy Attachment (Works great)

Flies GREAT, I love it. It was flown hard the other day by a "Top 10" pilot who had positive comments (Said he'd up the headspeed and cyclic a bit if it was his machine, and not change anything else, said it flys very well, particularly he said the YS was running sweet and pulling well, and it's at about the end of gallon #4).
