You could do a Logo 600 Rotor Head. But you are still stuck with the wacky straight cut main gear and tail drive gear. Just like a regular logo 400 / 400SE / 10


I see you taking a Logo 480 XX and doing a longer boom so it could run 520's. That would be a HOOT.

That's pretty much exactly what I was thinking. Stretch it out to 520mm or even 550mm and see if it is lighter than my 500.

I'm sure it will be. You can find them in the classifieds every once in a while. But I would rather stretch a logo 480. Not a fan of the logo 400 drive train.

My only concern about doing a radical stretch like that is the fact that the 480 will be using fairly small cyclic servos for such big blades (520mm - 550mm).

I guess if you are handy with a dremmel and a ruler you could always cut the carbon frame a little bigger to fit more beefy servos.

There are a few select HV mini servos with the right power source (and space allows on the last two as they look taller then the MKS) that will get the torque comparable to most standard size servos running 5.6-6.0v

- MKS 9767
- RJX FS0391 & BK Mini that appear to be identical with just a name change.

I'm using the BK servos on a Goblin 500.. The servos are fast and no issue for me so far.. works great swinging the 500 mm sab blades
