Better motor, better CG - wow what a difference!

After discovering how far aft my CG was on my stock Blade 450 3D, I finally got off my duff and installed the Hyperion 2221-3000Kv motor and 11T pinion into the heli last night. It is much beefier than the e-flite OEM and moved the CG forward rather nicely. I just took it out for a spin this morning and my goodness, what an improvement. The former extreme sensitivity in pitch was gone, and this allowed me to go back into a much more "normal" range of dual rates and expo.

Because of the lower head speed I also went up on the throttle curve by about 10% across the board, and increased the pitch curve a mite, too. It doesn't punch out in vertical as with the stock motor, but since I'm flying in the confines of my back yard for the time being, that is fine with me! So long as I have enough authority and responsiveness to handle wind gusts, I'm happy.

Wish I'd have more carefully checked the CG on this heli a long time ago. Just another in a long line of newbie mistakes I'm likely to make.
