Default Charging transmitter batteries

I have a Spektrum DX6i with 4 Duracell AA NiMH 2400mah batteries. The DX6i power supply puts out 100mA. Assuming 100% efficiency, my calculations (and a calculator I found online) suggests that this would take 96 hours to charge which is quite different from the suggested overnight charge. Even if I were using smaller capacity batteries, say 800mah, it would still take 32 hours to completely charge them which sounds too much. Is there something wrong with my calculations?

Here you go. 1.4 x mah divided by ma (charger) = hrs to charge for full form charge. So, 1.4 x 2400 divided by 100ma = 33.6 hrs. Go to RadicalRc for some very good NiCad and Nimh charging infor.

OK, I see I was getting confused thinking they were connected in parallel in which case the mah of the system would be 4 * 2400, but since it's a 4.8v charger, I guess they're connected in series so the mah remains at 2400.

Well I'm not too worried, anyway. I just ended up charging overnight...
