Default Defects of Turnigy Heli Rudder servo - BLS980

I bought this servo for $ 70 in the hobbycity shop http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbyking/s...kg/.03sec/58g_

But it was dead. No movement at all.

The shop said "Goodbye amigo!". PayPal dispute expired (package edded missing item long time in the shop).

I looked, I'm not the only one - reviews with the same problem at the hobbycity lot http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbyking/s...idproduct=9980
They write that they do not even test these servo before sending and MKS drops defect servos in Turnigy

I can't get my money back, I can't repair this servo (Turnigy hasn't website, and I cant send them complaint e-mail).

So, be careful with Turnigy servo!

And by the way, everyone is looking for Turnigy Website, but its nowhere!

remember this servo is 760us pulse width.

This means some gyro's will not make the servo move. And even gyro's that will work with it (spartan) may require a config change before it will work.

I was stumped with a 760us servo for a whole evening, then out of no where I remembered reading about how the spartan needed to be configured for this type of servo. Once I made the change in the gyro settings the servo came to life.

You may already be aware of this, if so please disregard my advise

yeah another case of not knowing what you're buying. I've got one of these servos and it's been good. Given the price though, I'm not sure it's worth it over some of the servos out there now. time will tell.

Seen alot of people buy 760us servos and complain they don't work.

I just want to say THANK YOU!!! for admitting your error and posting it wasn't a defective product. Many would not have admitted what happened and left the blame on HK and Turnigy. Still, it would be a good idea to ask for help or suggestions first.I've used many Turnigy products and they've all worked well.
