Default What Servo Arms On ur LOGO 700?

Currently I'm building my logo 700, i check the stock servo arms are plastic ones and seems strong enough. my flying skill is somewhere mid-3D and push the pitch hard when needed. The servos are Futaba 9353 with hugh torque i believe is over 20kg with 0.06 responding time.
I read a post somewhere before about changing to the metal servo arms on logo 600. The more i believe is they broke the arms after crash instead of breaking them during the flight. So I'm curious if this is really needed to change them to metal ones?

Thank you for your attention.

I use the standard futaba 4 horn arms and trim off the 3 I dont use. Plenty strong as I bang it around pretty hard.. Also saves the servo in a crash by breaking the horns instead of the gears or whatever..

I ordered about 50 a few years ago... Best investment ever.

Stock Mikado arms are a CF reinforced type.

There good for the logo 700 and 800.

Perfect for futaba 25z...exist also for 23/24z savox etc...

Metal won't break in flight and also "feel" better :-) but don't crash :-)

Hey....

I highly recommend them because of the pre drilled m3 hole and the 2 extra fixing screws...used them in my logo 800.

Just noticed they are (probably) only sold in Europe, but I have 3 lying around here since I changed it Mks servos with 8mm output shaft vs 6mm.

If you are interested I would sell them to you for 40 c-$. I hope it's ok to offer it here...anyway just write a PM if you can't find them on your continent.

I don't recall the logo 600 kits coming with servo horns. ( my 600 and 600se didn't )

If there the Mikado servo arms , I'd say there good to use.

Didn't your kit come with arms ? Both my 700 and 800 kits came with futaba (FU) and Jr (JR) arms in the box.

Capital letters are stamped on the arms.

Am using MKS X8s, so the choices are limited due to their larger output shaft diameter.

Mikado sells a set of 20mm Futaba spline carbon servo arms which are compatible with the Torq's.

Anybody knows something about these arms?

http://www.banggood.com/KST-Adjustab...aign=dm-rc-mpa

especially I would like to know dimentions. Hole distance from center.

I use the Mikado arms at the moment but I have to trim it too much for my liking.

well, i would like to say after many "experiments" the stock arms are still in one piece no matter how hard my bird kisses the land.

for litter birds like 550sx the crash power is quiet limit, and i can feel the arms are still well attached with servo gears.
BUT i crashed my 700xxt weeks ago and it's under repairing at this moment, i can easily feel that gap between stock arms and my futaba 9353hv metal gear after crash that day. i will disassemble the arms to see it's the wear off of the servo metal gear or arms.
anyone has any experience or thought to share on this point?
