on the 120. It's been at least 10 days maybe more So It's charging now, at the lowest setting on the E-Flight charger.

Any advice except pitch it in the round file later tonight?

Don't put lipos in the trash!

If you're sure it's ruined, safely and slowly discharge it to zero voltage then the lipo should be "donated" to a battery store where they know how to dispose of them properly.

ive read the acceptable way to dispose of lipos is to discharge it as low as possible, put it in a bucket of salt water (cant remember the mixture) for a week, then its ok to throw it in the trash.

its possible to bring it back, however performance will never be quite the same. id give it a try, however for the cost of these batteries i wouldnt work too hard at it.

Took the battery off the charger and checked the voltage. 5.26 volts. Ran it on the heli until the low voltage cut off lite blinked. Didn't run very long and checked voltage again. 5.25 volts. I think in both cases the voltage is way to high. I'm thinking 4.2 volts is the top, correct???

Well, chalk it up to having a dumb ass attack..... again

IMO, those batteries are cheap. Recycle and move on. I've seem a couple pictures of the little 3.7 500s doing bad things.

Doesn't the 120 use a 1S lipo? If you were at 5.25 volts that is not very safe. If it is a 2S setup and your pack is at 5.25 volts...well, that is a problem also.

Discharge it in saltwater and discontinue use is my recommendation!

After I let the battery set overnight it was at zero volts. No suprise! I cut the leads off the battery for a future project, if there ever is one, and threw them in the "junk" drawer.

I'll pick up another one next trip to the LHS. Right now I'm kind of focusing on a new to me Century Raven 50. Short hover flight today to check out my set up and no major problems other than it is quick on the cyclic. I coming from a X-Cell 40 with JR 517 servos to a "modern CCPM heli with very fast servos. So, I've for the first time in my life dialed in some expo on the cyclic! Too cold today to mess around for long, so I'll wait for some warmer weather to finish it up. Can't wait

Don't throw it away they can still be resurected.

I did the same one though only for one night and the next day I put on on charge and flew with it in the chopper, it only lasted half the normal time so next charge I charged it at half the voltage which has helped.

now it's back to 90% of my other good batteries.
