Default E-Revo Brushless

OMG! I haven't had this much fun with a car in like 15 years. Traxxas definitely got themselves a winner. I'll get some pictures up when I can. Anyone else got a truck/car/wheeled contraption controlled by frequency?

Way more fun than the 5B. I have clutch issues on the Baja presently and not enough time to tear it down.

Yeah, I got the Revo running on 6S. It's sick.....

I only have nitro. An OLD traxxas nitro hawk S/T and an HPI nitro RS4 2 speed. A friend of mine has a nice car that just needs speed controller, motor and battery. He won't let me have it though...

I have a Stock Traxxas E-Maxx That I can let the kids run (and the dog chase). I also have a HPI nito MT W/ 2speed. I've bolted just about everything you can get to it. Actually drove the HPI for the first time in a long time the other day.
What type of vehicle is your new toy? On road, off road? Brushless with lipo power sounds mega fast! My friend is into the rock crawler style. I've been thinking about getting one of those. They seem like low damage, beer drinking fun.

I'm n ot even going to begin with all the surface vehicles/boats/planks/and helis I got but I do know that a brushless/lipo driven surface vehicle will absolutely eat their nitro equivalent all day long.A Nitro needs time to 'spool up' to rpm..the electric power is instantaneuos there fore giving the electric a massive launch advantage. However...there's nothing like simply refueling when your buddy stands and watches you run while his batteries charge.When I go out on a bashing trip I go for the day and batteries in trucks and cars..just don't cut it for me,I'll sacrifice speed for less downtime anyday. Nitro all the way on the ground...anything bigger then 1/16 scale anyway. ;

I'm getting at least 20 minutes a run on mine and I have two sets of packs. Packs take about 20 minutes to charge.

I have the e revo and inferno truggy. I also have an enforcer with a full mod rcmk 254.

Actually the e revo I bought for my woman. I'd go brushless on it for her if she could keep the thing going straight! She likes to run it around while I fly or run boats.

What is the Tower part number for what you have Clay? Would it work for a 9YO, the 5B was WAY to much vehicle for him and scared him it was so loud. Grandma is looking for a gift for Joseph in the next couple of months. She is who got him the 5B and I want to make sure she does not waste her money. Will my 500 6s 2450 to 2600 packs work in it?.

This is what I have.

I can also recommend this one.

I have both. The smaller one is for my son. You can run the batteries in parallel or series with the small one and it's just as much fun. To be honest, the E-Revo is a bit big and can be hard to control, especially at high speeds. It definitely has potential to do damage. The little one can be tamed down and have a long run time by going parallel. If I didn't get the little one for my boy, I'd run it around as well, but it's really his toy and not mine....

HAHAHAH I know what you mean. If I have to charge and maintain, then I guess I get to run it as well right??

Thank you for the info Clay.

I have 3 hpi rs4 racer 2's. their out of date but they are still fun to go parking lot bashing with especially when you can take a kid or some buddys with you. I know i'll never get up to speed with the brushless guys but for what spare parts are going for on ebay, i'll stick with them. besides i love the smell of burnin nitro.

Default brushless propulse

I traded a pro pulse for some trx 2.5 engine parts that i didnt need anymore.
after seeing the 1/16 revo. i decided to use parts from a belt cp v2 ( they were all stock except for 30A esc ( the heli to 40A in it now) the parts used from it were: 30A esc, digital servo, and its main motor). It uses a 3s lipo and goes around 60mph

Big +1 on the brushless E-Revo!! I picked one up a couple of weeks ago, it's a beast! I cant get enough of this thing, on a 6S lipo I can wheelie away from the local 5B guys. Traxxas did a great job on this rig!

6s 25c Zippy's are insane, this is for an 8YO... does the Castle setup really have training mode or is that just the Traxxas ESC?

I have had my e revo for years and about 2 years ago did the brushless conversation and on 6s with my big ass 32t pinion and little 54t main it will blow tires off in a second flat.... but be careful and watch motor temp cuz with this set up she gets hot fast. I don't normally run with this gearing i just do that for thrill every once in a while when I wanna brake something... as a norm my 24t pinion and 68t main on 4s is indestructible love my helis but I still get a kick out of my cars.
