Default 14T pinion confusion

I am working on my second build so I can have 2 protos. I bought the kit from HF. Never flown but one of the older kits with lipotech motor. It came with 15T pinion. I am running 6s bats so I ordered a 14T pinion from msh direct. The inner diameter won't fit the adapter and even if I could I don't believe it would fit over the motor shaft. What am I missing?

OK I see I need an adapter which I have ordered. I am assuming I am going to Ned to cut the shaft down?

14T and 13T run smaller OWB which means smaller shaft adapter or single long shaft from the stretch kit. Because of the narrower shaft (or adapter), I'd say you'd need the 3rd shaft support bracket as well. Some may argue it's only needed for stretch, but I think the problem is the smaller shaft/adapter diameter. I wouldn't run 13T/14T without 3rd shaft support bracket, stretch or not.

I could very well be wrong but the Support is for the main shaft which my plastic frame already has. Is this correct?

not it actually supports the motor and pinion. it sets over the top of the motorshaft/pinion

I am assuming I would have to put extra holes in the frame. I will look at the pinion when it arrives. Now I am thinking maybe I will stick with the 15T and done it down as I am doing now. I will evaluate once I get the 14T and see.

Someone has done template to drill holes on plastic frame to mount 3rd shaft support. Do a search.
