I dont believe there is magic here but i wonder how this issue happens to us only in summer and not in winter.

Wouldnt bothor the temp on the servo if i was not loosing the hold of the tail and recently had a servo failure. Am not tryng to argue for nothing but i request if you can check the servo at 108 after flyng hard with strong stops on the tail.

Yap i believe here its more hot than Muncie. Much more uncoftable sometimes when you have a nice wind brazing your face at 50+ degC. Not to mention thw humidity!

Muncie is cold compared to Texas.. their summer is our Spring/winter.

105-110 real feel is average summer day with no wind and 100% humidity down here.

Ok! so what can you try to point that am not doing right? Could it be the internal settings of a spartan gyro? Am sure the frame is correct! maybe other parameters on gyro settup?

Check the deadband is set properly, but 99.999% of the time its the tail mechanics that are the problem, they need to be SUPER smooth.

Simple test, dont move the heli or tx sticks, the tail servo shouldn't buzz the whole time.

it sounds like he is overdriving or binding or something.. and is this only on 1 heli that is heating up and eating these servos?

If it is happening on several helis it can still be build errors (we tend to make the same mistakes on all our builds), can be a bad pot in the tx or ....

I fly in the hot Texas weather as well. Even during the hottest days last summer my old Velocity 50 would come down with the servos at air temperature or just a little warmer. I don’t fly hard, sport mainly. I wander oaw much affect your flying style might have on the servo temps? Just a thought?
Have you considered trying another tail gyro? Maybe it’s overworking your servo.

I think i have a 611 in my junk box ill try it with a bl251.
