Take it on a flat paved surface (driveway, BB court, Parking lot). Rev it up slowly till it gets light on its gear (training gear if possible) and begins to scoot or slide on the pavement but not fly. Slow it down to a stop and adjust the appropriate trim tabs in the opposite way it begun to scoot. Try again. Once it doesn't scoot much, it may be ready to begin hover. It still may need some more trimming when hovering. I always have to adjust the tail trim and then later I find myself trimming it back. I'm guessing thats because the tail motor is warming up.

Ok.... I assume your new to this heli flying business ? ..... remember that it will not hover in one spot like the smaller helis, you have to continually fly this baby !

If you have the concept of the cyclic controls, then just pop it up in the air and see if it does actually need trimmed out. sometimes it can be just that your flying in the rotor wash that makes it more unstable.

Get some training gear on your baby .. it will save a few dollars and help you to learn how to land properly.

If you need any more help just shout and some one will get to ya

Don't know if I would take this approach, heli is completely different on the ground than it is in the air. As long as your set up is close, you shouldn't have to do much (if any) trimming at all. Heli is always gonna scoot left as it gets light on the skids, that's cuz of the tail rotor. You can't just sit there with it light on skids, have to commit to air or ground and put it there. Trimming should be done on the ground after it's been checked in the air. If you're constantly putting in a cyclic or rudder input, then set it down, make an adjustment and get it airborne again to recheck.

+1 to Nbells...

Ya, the tail on these is an artform... takes a fair bit of practice to get under control. If you search this forum I'm sure you'll find a bazilliongigagillion threads on adjusting gyro or esc or 2-in-1 etc...

+1! If I could keep my SR together longer than two batteries I could fly at work on my breaks...

Work, oh yeah! That's what I do to support my crash addiction....
