I'm happy with them can't beat them for $7-$15 price tag. Though I just wanna get some more "fancy" in name in the event if I sell my 450 one day cuz I'm hard-up - I can get more for it and sell it easier. Don't like the idea but, something have to come first and it may get rough soon!

Here they are going for $10 each.

Dandee servos. I've never broke one yet, all that's ever gave is the case tabs (stil mounts and holds fine ) and the horns in a crash. The case breaking was a new one recently. That happen cuz I did a full speed loop at 100% idle up into the ground. Which was enough to finally do in my frame sides I've been using since day one of flying which has had 45+ hard crashes.

I hear ya though anything over 20 is to much for a 450 IMO. My 500's servos were $20... Like hell if I'm gonna spend MORE for a 450. Oh well, I got another whole set of Hitec HS-82MG's and a few tail servos, so considering maybe another 500..

Lucky SOB, nice fleet!

My 500 is out and down. Had an issue yesterday. Rebuilt it over 3 days, new blades, gyro etc. During the test flight a screw came loose, jammed the tail and yeah... Wrote it off, just gonna get a new/used HC500 kit and go with that, rebuild mine slowly as a spare, got the parts too do it but it's starting to feel cursed. LOL

My 250SE is out too, needs a new belt. Plus I got a nice Aelous 600 nitro on the way, next week woo!

Think there's a quote from a movie about that -
" Love the smell of nitro on the morning breeze - smells like victory to - - - "

OPPS ! Wrong movie - - - time to get my head re-wired. :-(

This thread popped to the top and made me think about a couple of videos shot at Huntsville last year. A quick search and here they are!

Nice looking bird! Let me know how you like that gyro on it. Was thinking of a possible upgrade for my primary HC and moving the Logitech over to another. What cyclic servos you running? Rain ans 20 MPH winds today, maybe a Trex 250 basement day today Good luck with the maiden, let us know how she goes!!

YEEEE-HAAW What A Heli!!! This thing is an incredible thrill to fly.
So far I'm really liking the GY520 on there. It held rock solid in every flight orientation and stops on a dime without any bounce. But I haven't really tried to push it to the limits yet. Today was really more about breaking in the batt's and trying to get comfortable with speed and responsiveness of this monster. Not quite there yet.
I'm running Futaba s9650 on the cyclic.

OK guys...
Just ordered my HC500 from HD. Its on its way....along with a boat load of spare parts....Only thing I'm missing right now is cyclics. Maybe a new ESC. I have a Turnigy 85A with built in SBEC, also have a CC ICE 100A thats in my 500. Might steal it and put the Turnigy in the 500. Then again, I might not play around with this one and do an ESC with an external BEC. But anyway... a new HC500 owner here!!!

I'm just about done with my build, just waiting for swash plates to be back in stock... mine showed up with two broken ball link screws in the swash... But I wanted to ask...alot of the pics I see of the tail assemblies.. seems alot of people have taken the guide pulley thats right above the tail gear on the tail rotor assembly, off the tail unit. Does this guide pulley pose any problems?
Mike

How's you're built? Is it the one that is selling right now at helidirect? Can you post pictures of you're heli? I wanna know how it looks without the canopy and with canopy that was provided.

Not finished.. HD has been out of swashplates since before I bought mine, so I havent gotten the replacement yet, but supposedly, they will be in on the 25th. We'll see. I'll take some pics before I finish it...mine came with two canopies...both are really nice. Not sure which I will fly.
