Gyro gain for 7200bx using dx8

So I want to know if anyone is using a dx8 and 7200bx on the velocity 90 and what is your gyro gain. I can figure it out myself, but would like to see if theirs a better starting point

On the 7200BX the after it initializes the current amount of gain is displayed for about ten seconds by one of the menu leds. The suggested starting point is F or G. I don't use the dx8 so I don't know what percentage that corresponds with in the transmitter.

When setting up (dialing in) the tail it is common practice to incrementally raise the gain until the tail wags then reduce the gain a few percentage points until the wag goes away.

Ok I'll check that out, but how will I translate the gain for the dx8 by using the leds. Is their a video on that

Unfortunate I am not using the DX8 neither. Still if I remember the DX8 has the range from -100 .. +100. So 0 means already turned off. Start out at about 30 and check the LED on the MicroBeast after you initialize the heli and bind it. Rpeat until you get to the reference valuementioned by p00rboi.

I use the Vbar on my V90 so I cannot give you reference values for it. But thats how I would approach it.

Also if you have the gyro gain on a separate switch - you may want to set different values so you can work through the higher and lower gain values to find the spot where its wagging slow, where it gets stable and when it gets crazy.

BTW - if you had a slow wag - it might have been low gain and not high.

tomorrow I'm going back and starting with the gain at 30%. I was told not to touch any of the settings on the bx.

All I have to do, is find the sweet spot for the tail and then tune the engine.
