Default Goblin 700 C motor shaft length

Hi guys
I just bought a Gob 700 Comp kit which I am very excited about!!
I want to use the electronics out of my previous 700 which was a Blade 700 X. The motor is an Eflite Heli 700 520KV. The shaft length from the C clip to the end is about 37mm.
Will this work?
Any info would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers

I got it!
It will work.
I looked everywhere but the SAB manual haha should have looked there first. I will just need to cut 3mm off the shaft and grind a flat spot for the set screw.
Cheers

Cut the shaft, easy job, but be sure you wrap around your motor with some tape, you don't want the steel dust resulting from the cut to enter inside the motor and attach to the magnets.

Good point.
Thanks for the advice.
I think I will wrap the motor with plastic wrap.

The extra 3mm wont do any harm, it means the shaft sticks down into the battery compartment. This would be a problem if it were considerably longer than required, but for 3mm not really an issue.

It would be better if you use a dremel or anything else to cut the 3mm otherwise if sometime your battery strap breaks or loosens by any means it wont damage the battery especially when you are not running the battery upper plate

Use a plastic zip lock, punch the shaft through the plastic and seal up the rest of the motor when cutting the shaft. That boys is the ticket.

All good advice guys thanks!

I think I will cut the shaft. It is not difficult to do so and I like precision.

The kit showed up and I am soooo excited for this build!
Cheers
