Smile Simulator question

Hi all,
I'm getting a simulator and would like your suggestions, I'm planning on the Phoenix unless you all can talk me into something better. I need a bigger heli to go out doors with and if I crash it like my 120 the wife will leave me. My DX6i with the Phoenix should help all around.

Phoenix, iirc it has more Blade models than any other. Also, the dx6i can be used with the software as well.

Has worked great for me

Default Hello

I learned on Real flight but here good things about Phoenix..

Once you are able to hover and fly around with the simulator, consider MCPX as your next helicopter.

This link will also help you.

You don't need a bigger heli to go outdoors, try one smaller.

IMO my msrx has been a WAY better training tool, coming from a 120sr, than phoenix. Phoenix is okay, but it's not a very accurate representation of real life IMO. The msrx handles wind GREAT and is very confidence inspiring outside. It has to be 15-20mph winds for the msrx to get shook and even then it still flies okay. I've improved infinitely with the msrx than I did with months of phoenix.

With phoenix I thought I was great, flying inverted with cp helis, ect, until I actually got outside in real world conditions and couldn't do much still.

Happy flying.

A sim is never going to be like the real thing, but it functions a cost effective learning tool. Taking a real heli up can lead to the "oh crap" moment when things go bad. The sim is extremely important for developing your skills.
