Default Align 450 Airwolf Fuselage (KZ0820115A)

Hehe... just ordered the Align 450 scale Airwolf Fuselage in grey (KZ0820115A) from helipross.com last week and just got it today! It is also available in Black (KZ0820116A) and Blue (KZ0820114A) but I prefer the grey color. Overall first impression... it looks very nice. It is not as heavy as the HeliArtist Agusta (which I have) and overall detail is much nicer. The paint lines are pefect with no bleeding compared to the HeliArtist which bleeds in a few spot (at least mine has). The HeliArtist's paint looks thicker (and does look great) but it is heavier. Align use magnets like the HeliArtist to remove the access panel (which I like). The HeliArtist has 2 pins and a few magnets and the Align has 4 pins and a few magnets. Overall... holds better than the HeliArtist.

The built in retracts are so much nicer than the V2 HeliArtist (not sure about V3 since I don't have one). The Align requires only one servo where the HeliArtist V2 requires 2 servos for the retracts.

The front access fits perfectly... the tail cover fits nicely... they even epoxied small plywood pieces on the inside on the fuselage where the screws would screw into (for the tail) so not to strip them... very nice attention to detail. Holes are also pre-drilled for the 450 Chassis!

No time to put it together for at least a week. But overall right now, I'm thrilled and can't wait to work on it. A few pics below. :-)

Looks really nice.
I'm verry curious about the Retract system, if it's strong enough.
I'm still arguing with myself wether to buy the HeliArist V3 (with lights) or the Align one. Retracts are most inportant.

The rocket launcers are verry cool by the way

How is the buidling-discription? Or isn't there one?
I hear the HeliArtist discripton is not verry good.

Regards, Christian

I have a Heliartist Airwolf w/o retracts (no open channels on the TX) and the instructions are mostly non-existent. It is one page that didn't help at all, however Black Titanium has a nice build tutorial on it.

Lets see some pics of the finished project

Tempted, but the photos on my LHS website make it look very toy like, want to make sure it looks mean and not 'plasticy'

Hi. I just bought an align 450 airwolf fuselage and mine was not predrilled for the align 450 frame. Could you make a template for me? Thanks
