Can a Castle Talon 120 handle 7.2

I have a castle 120 on the stock KDS 7.2 motor. The first esc stop after 2 flights. My settings are: gov mode
9.37 gearing
1750,1900,2050
10 pole
10 timing
12pwm
520kv

The second time I lowered the timing to 5 and also the pwm to 8.Now it seams to be lacking power.
I don't know if the 1st esc was a fluke and to go back to the settings or get a 160. Unfortunately the talon doesn't have logging so dont know much about amps or temps.

Any ideas ?

If you are going to tootle around the sky and work on hovering orientations the Talon 120 would be fine, for anything else you need a 160 amp ESC.

I replaced the 120 that was on mine because of over amping. I have a yge 160a and it works great. Like Pctomlin said, it's fine for hovering and easy flight but that's it.

I put an edge 160 on now and was able to check logs.
I think the 120 could have done it maybe with a fan. But what surprised me was the spike in amps when we engage rescue. I think that's what killed the first 120.
