I like both. Not sure mine looks like it hit tree branches. No one has ever said that about any helis I've owned, and I've owned quite a few.

I think the Whiplash canopy shape looks horrible. Will the 7HV canopy work on the Whiplash? Lol.

Is this thing really bigger than a Trex 700? What size main/tail blades does it use?

Manual says 690-710mm main and 105mm tail blades.

The main dimensions of the model are similar, i.e. blade size, but the Whiplash frame and canopy are much larger in comparison to the Trex. FWIW, when the Trex 700 came out, the canopy was a lot smaller than other popular models at that time, i.e. JR Vibe, MA Stratus, TT Raptor.

MA felt it was important that a "700" size model maintain an awesome presense in the air, which was one of the main reasons for the larger canopy.

Yes. I have a trex 700 as well and even the Whiplash frames are noticeably larger. If you look at the first set of pics in this thread posted by someone else, you can kind of see the larger presence of the Whiplash compared to the Trex 700 in the picture. I echo Brian's comments in that this thing really has a presence in the air. Do not just pay attention that both models can use the same size main blades. Just my 2 cents!

I couldn't agree more. This model dwarfs the 700 in size. Much more presence in the air and flies a lot bigger. Technically, it is in the same class due to blade size but while I have always flown my 700's on 690's I prefer 710's on the Whiplash.

Curious, which 710s are running. I currently have Mavrikk 690s, but was thinking about 710s.......

Default Easter Maiden!

Here is mine on Easter Sunday! Only hovered and flew it around me, but it is rock solid and everything went without incident. I was so nervous I had cotton mouth by the time I landed. Second flight my nerves calmed down and I could enjoy the moment. Next time I will start wringing it out.
