Default Pics of Skookum on Protos

Anyone got pictures of the electronics placement, specifically the RX and Skookum unit, on a Protos?

I have seen JustPlaneChris's setup, but I do not want the RX hanging on the back, is there any other places that worked?

To be honest and fair.. I absolutely loved the Protos. I had issues with the tail and other parts but all in all, great machine. When I had my last crash due to mechanical issues, the vendor asked me for a list of parts that were broken and that he would replace them. That was months ago. I got nothing. I waited MONTHS with a broken Protos waiting on parts when I could have been flying. That turned me off big time. It's not about the money.. It was the principle. I am willing to pay for quality and service so I went with a proven company. Service is really a big deal to me and if your parts aren't quite up to par, then you compensate your customers with service. Just my opinion.. Great bird tho..

I was looking at the logos specs and it is about 200 grams heavier than the protos putting it at same weight level as the T-500. Does it fly like a brick? or better than a protos carbon.

If you convince me, I can return the protos and just pay for shipping I guess.

Oh man... Get them both.

The Logo 400 flies much better. (To ME) More precise and more stable (on the V-bar). I haven't flown the Logo with a flybar so can't really comment on that. I want you to give the Protos a fair shot. Try it out and then go to the field and see if anyone is brave enough to let you fly a logo 400 then go from there..

Also, what's good for me, might not be good for you.. People like different flight characteristics..

The keyword here is "V-bar"!! The flybarred Logo 400 is not as good and it's actually a joke for the price. Plastic swashplate?! Cmon! It takes a lot more $ to get the Logo flying since it basically needs the V-bar and head (which has the metal swashplate).

Why is the Logo 400 heavier? Because it's based off the old Logo 10 frame and head that swung 500-550mm blades.

The Logo 400 is hideous looking, IMO. The canopy just doesn't work with the frame (aesthetically). I would spend more $ and get the Logo 500 V-bar. I would LOVE to own a Logo and will someday, but Mikado's attempt at the 430mm bladed helis was a weak offering, IMO.

But I would take a Protos V-bar over Logo 400 V-bar anyday! Protos needs way less power to be extreme.

Didn't you have a wobbly tail case? Did you ever figure out the cause of that? I replaced my V2 case with the V3 a few weeks ago and it was dead-on tight.

I'm not defending or badmouthing any particular heli. The question was asked and I answered based on my personal experience. I pointed out the fact that the v-bar and the flybarred logo were 2 differents situations and the flybarred logo being one that I could not speak on because I haven't flown one. I like the look of the Protos and I like the look of the Logo. Again, it comes down to personal opinion. I gave mine. The logo is a bit more expensive but as I said before, I am willing to pay for quality and service. At any rate, hope the guy can take information he gathered during his research and be able to make a choice that he can be happy with. Happy flying and good luck. And yes, ONE OF the tail issues I had was the tail case being cut too wide. I purchased a new one and sold the heli.

I disagree, but I'll just leave it at that. Let's remember we're comparing a start-up company to the cream of the crop.
