Snacks, insect repellant. By "shade", I assume you're including sunglasses and a hat.

Yes, got those on the list. I have an easy-up too, but since i'm just going to come out on Saturday morning and leave Saturday evening that might be hard to find a place for. But thought i'd ask to see if there was any other suggestions so I don't feel completely lost.

Thanks,
Mike

Wink pizza

As Alan said you pretty much got everything you will need Mike, just don't forget to bring chair for sure and insect spray if you going to stay for part of the night fly

Hope you are able to spend part of the evening with us anyway.

By the way guys I will announce it her on helifreak first. We will have our eat out about 7:30 PM Saturday evening and we are thinking about making it simply. There is an excellent pizza place close by so we are considering order a large amount of pizza (all different kinds and sizes) as well as drinks and bring it to the event for everyone Saturday night that is a registered pilots.

I found out the grill we had last year is probably not going to be available this year, so someone had a great idea of doing pizza. We "might" also bring a small grill and cook a few brats as well.

Translation: brats.

I'm good either way. Pizza is never out of style, but I also love a good bratwurst.

Default non sponsored demo contest

We are probably only going allow non sponsored guys in to our regular demo contest. I know there are some guys that are reps that want to enter as well so maybe we can have two divisions, if there is enough interest shown. So far the ONLY interest shown has been from reps.

One for the totally non sponsored guys and one for the reps might work. The blades and plaques would go to the total non sponsored guys. Maybe something else like a gift certificate to the winning rep. Just as long as we don't get to many people (we can have prelims earlier) and it flows well with our pilots having there music and everything down we will be Ok.

Also we will keep the far end of the flight line open for those that want to fly during the demo contest.

However when the pros fly and especially when Curtis does his flight with the new 635 we will probably shut the entire flight line down just for a little while.

SRC week begins
It's that time everyone, this next coming weekend, everything is coming together nicely.

In order for me to get off Friday I am probably going to have to work a long day Thursday but there will be some SRC crew out at the field Thursday all day.

We will have part of the field roped off so please, please do not tent in the reserved section.

I will post an official schedule for the event hopefully Monday afternoon.

I am going to put contest box out and anyone that wants to enter any of the contest, and there will be 5 contest, novice flyer, intermediate, non sponsored demo contest with two divisions, one for the total non sponsored and one for reps, and auto contest and a MCPX contest. We hope to have prizes for each winner.

Friday is open flying and Saturday is contest day. We are thinking of simplifying the Saturday night cookout by ordering a variety and different sizes of pizza and drinks (the grill we had last year is not available) again this is just something we are adding for the registered pilots and it will be around 7 PM. The concession stands will stay open to around 4:30 at the ball park for those that want something there.

Don't forget to bring some mosquito repellant and a lawn chair for sure so you can enjoy the non demos and other activities.

Hey Guys, as far as I know Mr. Bobby Sellers is the only vendor that I know for sure that is coming to our event, others are welcome but for now it is all Bobby.

Therefore if you need something for the SRC it might be a good idea to call Bobby or PM him in the next couple of days and let him know what you need so he can bring it to the event this weekend.

Hi Guys, the preregister will end tomorrow around 3 PM, Wednesday September 19th, so if you want to preregister then by all means go ahead and do so at the website southernrotaryclassic.com

Those that preregister will get extra raffle tickets as well as some of their own raffle items.

The weather looks great, we have a great line up of sponsors and top pilots coming, a lot of different contest with prizes as well and some great, nightflying plan for both Friday and Saturday night.

We plan to have a lot of fun So if you are still thinking about it, come on up, down or over to this year's

2012 Southern Rotary Classic, there might be a few bigger events but probably none better
